A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

How can a haughty, vulgar and rude person be a true follower of the Lord who is gentle and lowly in heart?

Do you recognize and acknowledge your lowly state before the Lord?

Are you a proud and haughty child of the devil, or a lowly and humble child of God?

DAY # 104

TODAY’S REQUEST:

PRAYING THAT WE WALK WITH ALL LOWLINESS AND GENTLENESS

Job 5:8-10 "But as for me, I would seek God, And to God I would commit my cause 9 Who does great things, and unsearchable, Marvelous things without number. 10 He gives rain on the earth, And sends waters on the fields. 11 He sets on high those who are lowly, And those who mourn are lifted to safety.
Psalms 136:23 Who remembered us in our lowly state, For His mercy endures forever;
Psalms 138:6 Though the LORD is on high, Yet He regards the lowly; But the proud He knows from afar.
Proverbs 16:19 Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.
James 1:9-11 Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation,
10 but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. 11 For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits.
Psalms 18:35 You have also given me the shield of Your salvation; Your right hand has held me up, Your gentleness has made me great.

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

HAVING BEEN GIVEN THE NATURE OF CHRIST JESUS

Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
Ephesians 4:1-7 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all. 7 But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.
Matthew 11:29 "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
1 Timothy 6:11 But you, O man of God, flee these things and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, gentleness.
