A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

What is your view of the Word of God, is it your unique source of truth?

Has the seed of the word of God found a good ground in your heart?

Does what you listen to, read, and watch interfere with the growth of God’s word in your heart?

DAY # 114

TODAY’S REQUEST:

TO LOVE THE WORD OF GOD

Deuteronomy 11:1 "Therefore you shall love the LORD your God, and keep His charge, His statutes, His judgments, and His commandments always.
Deuteronomy 30:16 "in that I command you today to love the LORD your God, to walk in His ways, and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, that you may live and multiply; and the LORD your God will bless you in the land which you go to possess.
1 John 5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and keep His commandments.
Luke 8:19-21 Then His mother and brothers came to Him, and could not approach Him because of the crowd. 20 And it was told Him by some, who said, "Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, desiring to see You." 21 But He answered and said to them, "My mother and My brothers are these who hear the word of God and do it."
James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
1 Peter 1:25 But the word of the LORD endures forever." Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.
Psalms 40:8 I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart."
Psalms 119:97 Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

FINDING IN IT THE GREATEST TREASURE OF LIFE

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Luke 8:11-15 "Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. 12 "Those by the wayside are the ones who hear; then the devil comes and takes away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. 13 "But the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, who believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away. 14 And those which went among thorns are those who have given hearing, and go on their way, but they are overcome by cares and wealth and the pleasures of life, and they give no fruit. 15 "But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.
Psalms 119:162 I rejoice at Your word As one who finds great treasure.
Matthew 6:21 "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
