A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

Are you born of the Spirit, do you walk in the Spirit and live by the Spirit?

Are the love, patience, and kindness of Christ real in your heart, evident in your life?

Do you readily suffer for the good of brothers and sisters in Christ?

DAY # 38

TODAY’S REQUEST:

TO WALK WITH LONG-SUFFERING, BEARING WITH ONE ANOTHER IN LOVE

Colossians 9 For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 strengthened with all might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and long-suffering with joy; 12 giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

1 Timothy 1:16 However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all long-suffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

2 Timothy 3:10 But you have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love, perseverance,

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

CONVINCE, REBUKE, EXHORT, ALL WITH KINDNESS AND LONG-SUFFERING

Ephesians 4:1 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with long-suffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

2 Timothy 4:2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching.

Luke 11:4 And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one."

Luke 17:3 "Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 "And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, ‘I repent,’ you shall forgive him."
