A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

Is there in your heart a tendency to lie and deceive?

Are you among the unrepentant cheaters, liars, and deceivers of this age?

Is what comes out of your lips the perfect expression of what is in your heart?

DAY # 273

TODAY’S REQUEST:

PRAYING FOR SINCERITY OF HEART

Joshua 24:14 "Now therefore, fear the LORD, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the LORD!
Psalms 17: 1 Hear a just cause, O LORD, Attend to my cry; Give ear to my prayer which is not from deceitful lips. 2 Let my vindication come from Your presence; Let Your eyes look on the things that are upright. 3 You have tested my heart; You have visited me in the night; You have tried me and have found nothing; I have purposed that my mouth shall not transgress.
Mark 4:22 "For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light.
Psalms 141:3 Set a guard, O LORD, over my mouth; Keep watch over the door of my lips.
Proverbs 8:8 All the words of my mouth are with righteousness; Nothing crooked or perverse is in them.

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

FOR OUR HEART TO BE WITHOUT DECEIT

John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming toward Him, and said of him, "Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no deceit!"
1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
2 Corinthians 1:12 For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience that we conducted ourselves in the world in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and more abundantly toward you.
Psalms 32:2 Blessed is the man to whom the LORD does not impute iniquity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit.
James 1: 16-22 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren. 17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. 18 Of His own will He brought us forth by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures. 19 So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God. 21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls. 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
