A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

What is life all about for you; what are you really seeking?

Do you seek to know the Lord, be like Him, and walk in accordance with His word?

Is your asking self-centered and self-serving, or does it align itself with the will of God?

DAY # 230

TODAY’S REQUEST:

PLACING OUR TRUST IN GOD:

"SEEK, AND YOU WILL FIND - HE WHO SEEKS FINDS"

Matthew 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Luke 11:9-13 "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 "If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 "Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!"
Psalms 2:8 Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
Matthew 7:11 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
Matthew 18:19 "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

ASKING IN THE NAME OF JESUS, THAT OUR JOY MAY BE FULL

Matthew 6:7 "And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words. 8 "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
Matthew 21:22 "And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive."
John 16:24 "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.
James 1: 5-8 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double–minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Mark 11:24 "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
