A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

If you were brokenhearted because of the guilt of your sins, have God’s grace and mercy healed your soul?

Are you enjoying the fruit of the pardon of your sins by living a godly and holy life?

Have you cried over your sins to the point that only God’s pardon and grace could heal the deep wounds of your soul?

DAY # 195

TODAY’S REQUEST:

PRAISING AND GIVING THANKS TO GOD:

FOR THE LORD HEALS THE BROKENHEARTED AND BINDS UP THEIR WOUNDS

Psalms 147:3 He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.
Isaiah 61:1 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,
Jeremiah 33:6 ‘Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.
Luke 4:14-19 Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region. 15 And He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all. 16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read. 17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written: 18 "The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives And recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

THE WORD OF GOD IS THE PERFECT SPLINT THAT HEALS THE BROKEN HEART

Psalms 51:15 O Lord, open my lips, And my mouth shall show forth Your praise. 16 For You do not desire sacrifice, or else I would give it; You do not delight in burnt offering.17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and a contrite heart––These, O God, You will not despise.
Job 5: 17 "Behold, happy is the man whom God corrects; Therefore do not despise the chastening of the Almighty. 18 For He bruises, but He binds up; He wounds, but His hands make whole. 19 He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you.
Psalms 19:7-9 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple; 8 The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart; The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes; 9 The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
Hosea 6:1 Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up. 2 After two days He will revive us; On the third day He will raise us up, That we may live in His sight.
