A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

When fear, doubt, and sorrow try to invade your heart, do you have the shield of faith to wear?

Do you realize that anxiety is nothing other than unbelief, lack of faith in God?

Has the anxiety in your heart been relieved by the Gospel of Jesus Christ?

DAY # 180

TODAY’S REQUEST:

TO BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING

Proverbs 12:25 Anxiety in the heart of man causes depression, But a good word makes it glad.
Luke 12:22-31 Then He said to His disciples, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. 23 "Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. 24 "Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? 25 "And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 26 "If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? 27 "Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 "If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith? 29 "And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30 "For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31 "But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

MAKING OUR REQUESTS KNOWN TO GOD BY PRAYER WITH THANKSGIVING

Psalms 94:17-19 Unless the LORD had been my help, My soul would soon have settled in silence. 18 If I say, "My foot slips," Your mercy, O LORD, will hold me up. 19 In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.
Psalms 139:21-24 Do I not hate them, O LORD, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? 22 I hate them with perfect hatred; I count them my enemies. 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; 24 And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy––meditate on these things. 9 The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
