A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

If the Word of God is not your compass, how would you know that you haven’t been deceived?

Are you taking heed of yourself, making sure you don’t bow before inanimate objects, statues of the dead, and other such idols?

Are you taking heed according to the Word of God or the word of men?

DAY # 165

TODAY’S REQUEST:

PRAYING FOR SPIRITUAL BLESSINGS:

TAKING HEED ACCORDING TO THE WORD OF GOD

Deuteronomy 4:9 "Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,
Deuteronomy 4:19 "And take heed, lest you lift your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, you feel driven to worship them and serve them, which the LORD your God has given to all the peoples under the whole heaven as a heritage.
Deuteronomy 4:23 "Take heed to yourselves, lest you forget the covenant of the LORD your God which He made with you, and make for yourselves a carved image in the form of anything which the LORD your God has forbidden you.
Deuteronomy 11:16 "Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them,

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

TRUSTING IN JESUS OUR LORD ALONE

Mark 13:5-13 And Jesus, answering them, began to say: "Take heed that no one deceives you. 6 "For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and will deceive many. 7 "But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. 8 "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows. 9 "But watch out for yourselves, for they will deliver you up to councils, and you will be beaten in the synagogues. You will be brought before rulers and kings for My sake, for a testimony to them. 10 "And the gospel must first be preached to all the nations. 11 "But when they arrest you and deliver you up, do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit. 12 "Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 13 "And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved.
