A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

We live in a very filthy and vulgar society, are you a contributor, a partaker or an outsider?

Have impure thoughts taken over your mind, and do unclean words come out of your mouth?

Do you believe abbreviating swear words and profanity makes it OK?

Is your covetousness camouflaged under such words as dream, ambition, aspiration or hope?

DAY # 10

Pray for it! Desire it! Meditate on it! Own it! Live it!

TODAY’S REQUEST:

NOT LETTING FORNICATION, UNCLEANNESS OR COVETOUSNESS EVEN BE NAMED AMONG US

Ephesians 5:3 But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;

2 Peter 2:10 and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,

Jude 1:6-10 And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; 7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. 8 Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries. 9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" 10 But these speak evil of whatever they do not know; and whatever they know naturally, like brute beasts, in these things they corrupt themselves.

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

A CLEAN MOUTH EMERGES FROM A CLEAN HEART

Isaiah 6:5 So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The LORD of hosts."

Titus 3:2 to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men.

James 4:11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge.

Acts 23:5 Then Paul said, "I did not know, brethren, that he was the high priest; for it is written, ‘You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.’"
