A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

Are you still living as an unrepentant, rebellious enemy of God?

Is your adoption in God’s family confirmed by the Holy Spirit’s presence in you as He transforms you unto the likeness of Christ Jesus, the Son of God?

Have you been given the power to become a child of God by receiving the nature of God and the mind of Christ?

DAY # 67

TODAY’S REQUEST:

THANKING GOD FOR SALVATION:

FROM ENMITY WITH GOD TO ADOPTION BY GOD

Ephesians 2: 14-16 For He Himself is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.

Romans 5:11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

James 4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

Romans 5:10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

Colossians 1:21 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled 22 in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

STANDING ON GOD’S SIDE – SETTING OUR MIND ON THE THINGS OF THE SPIRIT

Romans 8: 5-7 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.

Galatians 4:5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.

Ephesians 1:5 having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will

Romans 8:15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, "Abba, Father."
