A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

Do you use other people's prayers to speak to God?

Do you believe there is a formula to get your prayers answered?

Do you repeat the same traditional words again and again?

Why not talk to the Lord personally, intimately, sincerely, humbly, submissively...?

DAY # 3

Pray for it! Desire it! Meditate on it! Own it! Live it!

TODAY’S REQUEST:

TO BE TAUGHT NEW WAYS BY THE GRACE OF GOD

Titus 2:9-14 Exhort bondservants to be obedient to their own masters, to be well pleasing in all things, not answering back, 10 not pilfering, but showing all good fidelity, that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things. 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works.

Hebrews 12:14-16 Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; 16 lest there be any fornicator or profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright.

1 Peter 1:13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

1 Peter 4:10 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

TRANSFORMED BY THE FATHER’S GRACE INTO THE LIKENESS OF THE SON

Galatians 2:20-21 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the law, then Christ died in vain.

1 Peter 5:10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Jude 1:4 For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.
