A YEAR IN PRAYER    "Using God's Word to pray"

Do you view kindness as a sign or a synonym of weakness?

Do you bear any of the nine elements of the fruit of the Spirit in you? (see Galatians 5:22,23)

Is the kindness of Christ in your heart, and is it displayed in your life?

DAY # 44

TODAY’S REQUEST:

PRAYING FOR THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT:

KINDNESS

Proverbs 19:22 What is desired in a man is kindness, And a poor man is better than a liar.

2 Peter 1:5 But also for this very reason, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue, to virtue knowledge, 6 to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, 7 to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love.

1 Corinthians 13:4 Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;

Ephesians 4:32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you.

2 Samuel 9:7 So David said to him, "Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually."

Job 6:14 "To him who is afflicted, kindness should be shown by his friend, Even though he forsakes the fear of the Almighty.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering;

HOW DO THE SCRIPTURES TELL US TO EXPRESS THIS REQUEST?

SHOWING KINDNESS TOWARDS ALL

Galatians 5:22,23a But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, temperance...

2 Corinthians 6:4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, 5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; 6 by purity, by knowledge, by long-suffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, 7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 8 by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; 9 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; 10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
